Paprika Recipe Manager for iOS, Mac, Android, and Windows
I seem to remember that in frustration I just did a long press on the stop button and turned it off for a while then turned it back on and it reset its self. I you are using a USB keyboard, just disconnect it clean the contact area with tissue paper and reconnect the USB cable. Also do not push the USB end completely into the slot. USB connectors work the best when they just about fully inserted. My Windows 10 encountered similar “troubles” many times.
My answer in desperation was to do a long Driversol. push on the power button on my computer and shut it down, wait a minute then a short push on the computer power button to clean start it. I had the same problem this morning, couldn’t get past the request for password even though my computer is set for no password required and the p/w I did put in I know is the correct one. But if you are using it for the first time, it is best to read this tutorial first. I suffer this problem occasionally and could not work out why.

For that, we will open the Windows 11 Snipping Tool app. While people liked the new functionality, the lack of staple features – like delayed snapshots – limited its utility. As a result, most users were forced to resort to the deprecated Snipping tool or install a third-party app to take screenshots on their Windows computers. Though the Windows Snipping Tool is incredibly useful and offers several options that can suit your needs, there are other ways to screenshot or crop your screen. The fastest and easiest way would be the ‘Print Screen’ button located either on the very top or the right side of your keyboard.
- If that’s all you need, you can take it from there.
- Try pressing the Fn and Print Screen keys at the same time to see if a screenshot is successfully taken with this shortcut.
- When done, you can edit and mark up the screenshot and finally save it as a JPG, GIF or PNG file.
The snipping tool comes with a number of added perks that allow you to switch modes. In addition to the standard rectangular snip, you can snip in three other ways. Save the screenshot as a JPG or PNG file and place it into an easy access folder. When you don’t want to take a screenshot of your entire screen, but rather a portion of your screen, using Snip & Sketch makes selective screenshotting easier than ever.
Microsoft has not released any major updates to Windows 10 after this update as it’s releasing feature updates to Windows 11. When Microsoft starts rolling out a newer version of Windows 10 to the general public, it might not be available to everyone immediately. Since there are hundreds of PCs running Windows 10, Microsoft cannot push feature updates to every PC at a time via Windows Update. As Windows 10 is a service, updates are regularly released. In addition to releasing quality and critical updates, Microsoft releases major updates called feature updates twice a year to add new features to the operating system.

So, if you can’t take a screenshot on Windows 10, please, check if you are using the right shortcuts. Lightshot is a free screenshot app for PC and Mac.
